To Our Wellness First Patient Community,

For the safety of our patients and staff, the Wellness First office is now closed and we will be treating and supporting our patients remotely.  If you need to speak with Dr. Hadley, please dial (561) 491-4666 and select Option 1.  If you would like to speak with Dr. DiPiero select Option 2.  For non-medical issues, select Option 3 and our office staff will retrieve these messages on a daily basis.

Here is what WELLNESS FIRST advises:

  1. IT IS TIME TO SELF-QUARANTINE. STAY AT HOME AND LIMIT CONTACT WITH PERSONS OUTSIDE YOUR HOME.
  2. WASH YOUR HANDS OFTEN. Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Wash your hands before eating, after using the bathroom, after blowing your nose or coughing, after interacting with others, and after you have returned from trips outside your home.  If soap and water are unavailable, use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  3. AVOID PUTTING YOUR HANDS ON YOUR FACE. The virus that causes COVID-19 infection enters the body through the eyes, nose and mouth.
  4. CLEAN FREQUENTLY TOUCHED SURFACES AND OBJECTS IN YOUR HOME AND OFFICE SPACE DAILY USING A REGULAR HOUSEHOLD DETERGENT AND WATER.  (e.g., tables, countertops, appliances, light switches, doorknobs, cabinet handles, computer keyboards, phones)
  5. AVOID CLOSE CONTACT WITH INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE SICK WITH COLD OR FLU-LIKE SYMPTOMS.
  6. AVOID CLOSE CONTACT WITH INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE RECENTLY TRAVELED BY COMMERCIAL TRANSPORTATION SUCH AS AIRLINES, TRAINS, BUSES.

If you have not already done so, we encourage you to consider and develop a plan of action:

  1. Choose a room and separate bathroom in your home that can be used by a sick household member. The sick individual should remain separated from other people and animals both during the day and night time.   That means 24 hrs/day.
  2. If you live alone, identify someone you can call and get assistance in the event you become ill.
  3. Have a supply of over the counter medication for fever and cough control. For fever we advise acetaminophen or ibuprofen.
  4. Have a modest supply of food supplies like soup, applesauce, and/or juice.

If you become ill with upper or lower respiratory congestion, cough, fever, or shortness of breath, CALL US IMMEDIATELY for medical advice.   We will assess your symptoms over the phone and give you guidance.  Remember, you can reach us day or night at our office number 561-491-4666.

Please continue to check your emails from us where we will be sending you frequent updates and guidance.
